I love when I get some leverage! [POLL]

I have a history of Shingles. It's called on "old persons" illness, because most people who get it are old and have weak immune systems.

I got my first case when I was about 10, and manifested on my left hip. My second case appeared last year around Mid January, and it decided to manifest under my right arm.

And now I think I'm developing a third case.

Shingles is brought on by stress, usually following other sicknesses that have had a chance to weaken the immune of the host. It attacks by selecting a weakened nerve system, attaches to it, then grows out to where ever the nerve touches the skin to make a very annoying and painful rash, (my doc gave my vicodin last time, and I have funny stories about THAT). As I'm sure you all know, I'm waaaaaay beyond just stressed. I just got the first sign under my left arm. :/

Wanna know something fun about it?

You have Shingles as well.

That is, if you've had the chicken pox before. Most people have. Shingles is from the same virus. When you first had pox and your body fought it off, the virus didn't magically dissolve from your body. It went latent and hid itself.

In my case, it likes to make an appearance every so often. And since I was sick two weeks ago, and I've been driven crazy the last five months, is it any surprise it's had a chance to manifest again?

Why? I hate my life sometimes. >:/

Enough about my ridiculous ailments. On to what the post is REALLY about!

So I had a chance to do some research about the bills I've paid thus far and have come up with some decent news that means I have leverage against Kittie! 8D A highlight to an otherwise aggravating ailment.

When I talked to the manager about the W/S/G bills, she informed me that the bill due on the 1st of February was indeed for December. We will be paying that one, since we were there. She informed me that all the W/S/G bills were billed in rear. Meaning, if it was January, you would pay for the water/sewage/garbage from NOVEMBER. If you were billed in December, you would be paying for October... and so on.

But this got me to thinking, and when I had a chance to put two and two together, I realized that Kittie had made Beta and I pay for a month of W/S/G that we were not present for!

We moved in September 2010. We only paid for rent in September, that I am sure. However, in October, I got temporary checks from my bank while my check books were being processed, and I wrote three checks. One for rent, one for W/S/G, and one for energy.

If we were billed in October, that meant that I was paying for the month of August. A month that Beta and I were NOT present for! 8D

So we will not be paying for January's W/S/G bill because of this.

As for the other bills, here is my POLL. The remaining bills are $30 for a comcast bill I paid in cash that she doesn't remember me paying. Another $30s for comcast for this month, of which we only used the internet. And $68 for the Energy bill she said we wouldn't have to pay at the beginning of the month. A total of $128.

Beta has decided he wants to NOT pay her anything for these, and tell her if she really wants the money she can take us to small claims court for it. Do you all think this is acceptable? Opinions wanted.

I plan on paying the bills that we actually think we owe directly to the manager, so none of OUR money goes into her hands. She'd just get a credit on the next months bill for what we paid.

Anyways. That is all for tonight. I'm going to go pass out.

All my angry love,
Apples

  1. Personally I wouldn't bother taking it to court.

Just pay the bills she says, if you sign.
and as revenge steal some of kitties anime, i mean hey she wasn't putting it away, so yours.
sell it, and bam. you've got some money.
well that's a bit extreme, just leave them to live in their own filth. or report the filth of the apartment to the owner and see if you can get them kicked... the mould the dishes... the kitty litter.. take some more photos before you leave.
    goodluck .
